To coincide with this week’s reading on Qualitative Research, you are to provide a reaction to a qualitative research article. If you are already doing a qualitative study, guess what? You can use one of the articles that you already have! Remember, work smarter and use what you already have available! Due: September 25, 2020.All research articles will follow the same format. Your goal for this assignment is to dissect the scholarly article.
1) Read the article without any pen, pencil, or highlighter in hand.
2) Read the article again and take notes
3) Write your paper from your notes? Why? It’s helps avoid Plagiarism!Your article should be in this format:Introduction – what is the research problem? research question?Literature Review – what kind of articles were reviewed? what topics?Methodology – what method did the researcher(s) collect the data? what are the measures? For qualitiative, you are looking for focus groups, interviews, observations. For quantitiative, you are looking for independent and dependent variables.Results – what are the results of the study? what did the researcher(s) find out?Discussion/Conclusion – what is the conclusion? do you agree with the conclusion for future studies?Now – dissert your article – briefly. Put main points in each section. Use the sections are your subheadings. Complete sentences. Your paper will vary, but should be a minimum of 2 1/2 pages. Make sure you include a reference page to cite your article – APA appropriate! DO NOT CITE SOMEONE ELSE’S WORK IN YOUR PAPER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL ARTICLE! WE WILL DISCUSS THIS.Make sure running head, page numbers, etc. are included in your paper.I have attached a powerpoint for you – Dissecting a scholarly article – which is also found in week #1. Re-read and use this as a guide.
