This is an geology assignment associated with using Excel basic formulas to analyze the question data in the excel. It is not so complex. It has a total of 17 questions in this assignment. Assignment Formatting Requirements

Type your answers in a Word document (which must be converted
into a PDF file before submission). Further instructions for
preparing your assignment for submission, after you have finished
answering the questions, are provided below.

To encourage the creation of assignment submissions with a high
quality of presentation appearance, some simple formatting
guidelines must be applied when you prepare your assignment.
Marks will be deducted from your total if these formatting
guidelines are not applied.
See Assignment 1, Section C, for further details and examples
regarding these guidelines.

Create a title page with these pieces of information:
– Name of the assignment
– Course number and name
– Student name
– Student number
(Note that it is not necessary to repeat these pieces of title page information on
subsequent pages.)

The title page information must be on a separate page
from the answers.
o
Include the corresponding question number at the
beginning of each answer.
o
Answers must be written as full sentences.
o
Answers must be complete and intelligible to a person
who has not read the question.
o
Do not insert the text of the question at the beginning
the answer.

Use single-line spacing for the answers.
o
Answers must be separated from each other by a blank
line.
Yellow Highlighted Area
You will use the data that already exists in the spreadsheet in rows 26 and
below (highlighted in yellow) to answer the assignment questions. Do not make
any changes to the cells in the highlighted areas (except for Question 14 – see
below) or the values you use to generate answers will be incorrect.
Unless a specific cell address is stated for entering a formula, you can use any
of the the empty cells above or to the right of the yellow highlighted area for
obtaining your answers.
If you inadvertently make a change to a cell in the highlighted area,
immediately Undo the action, or download the original file again and start over.
Presenting Decimal Places in Assignment Answers
In your answers, report values with the same number of decimal places that are
displayed in the source data for that particular question. For certain answers,
this will require rounding off. Use the decimal places control described in
Section B.
Marks will be deducted if answers include a different number of decimal
places than are displayed in the source data for that particular question.
Providing Complete Answers
For this assignment, providing a complete answer means including brief
information for the reader about how you obtained the given result or what you
did to obtain the given result. This does not have to be an in-depth explanation.
Recall that if the value you obtain by executing a task is (for example) 952.68,
then an answer that consists only of “952.68” may be numerically correct but
will be considered incomplete. Not only do you need to show your numerical
result, you need to provide the reader with information to understand the
context of the value or the process(es) used to obtain it.
