Please respond to the following in regards to Geography. 150-200 words.
It is pretty cool to see how these eruptions are tracked using Geographical tools but also to
realize how an eruption can impact normal activities such as airlines. For example, Icelandic
volcano eruption/activity a few years ago seriously disrupted European airlines and travel and
planes were grounded, or repathed. This had a huge loss of business cost associated with it. The
latest eruption/activity of Bardarbunga in Iceland is being carefully watched and businesses like
airlines now have strategies in place should it escalate. Volcanoes may seem like something our
of our geologic past but they are very prevalent today!
